The event leads you paid for and never followed up
You paid for the stand, the travel and the days away. Then half the leads went cold.
You paid for the stand. The travel. The days away from the business. You came home with a pile of business cards and a few notes on your phone. A week later, half of them had gone cold.
Most event leads aren't lost at the event. They're lost in the week after it.
Why they go cold
- Captured on paper. Cards and scribbled notes don't get typed up when the stand's packed away and the inbox is full.
- Everyone gets treated the same. The person who bought on the day and the person who wanted a brochure land in the same pile.
- Follow-up depends on who has time. No plan, so it happens whenever someone gets round to it. Which is usually never.
- Nobody owns it. Everyone assumes someone else sent the email.
What works instead
- Capture in one place. A QR code or tablet at the stand. Every lead goes straight into the same list.
- Score on the spot. Bought on the day, hot, or just wants information. It takes seconds and decides who gets a call first.
- Follow up within 72 hours. While your stand's still fresh in their mind. Write the emails before the event, not after it.
- Give them a reason to act now. A show-only offer beats "get in touch whenever".
- Track what came back. Leads, follow-ups, sales. Otherwise you can't say what the stand returned.

How many leads did you capture? How many got followed up? How many within three days? How many became sales? Can't answer all four? That's your finding. It's also the cheapest thing to fix before the next one.
This is exactly what our Event Lead System was built to fix.
